There are a couple of options depending on the model you choose, but the engines are the four cylinder 2.4L/340hp for the Platinum. The Nightshade, Limited, and XLE have the 2.5L four cylinder, with 236hp and three electric motors. The Platinum has a six speed automatic transmission, while the others have a continuously variable automatic transmission.
With speed, the Platinum got up to 60mph in 5.1 seconds, while the XLE, Limited, and Nightshade reached 60mph in 7.2 seconds. The fuel economy gets on average 42 city/ 41 highway for the base Crown hybrid powertrain.
